GT won the toss & decided to bowl first. David Warner & Prithvi Shaw opened the innings for Delhi. David Warner showed positive intent and gave Delhi a brilliant start but Shami drew the first blood by dismissing Shaw (7). Marsh (4) once again failed to help his team by adding runs to the total and cheaply gave away the wicket to Shami. David Warner was showing some fine shots all around the ground but he never got the chance to change his gear. Joseph scalped his wicket & Delhi came under pressure. Rilee Rossouw returned to the dugout for a golden duck as Joseph was also behind his wicket. Sarfaraz held onto the pitch & kept the scoreboard on.

Anrich Nortje stormed in and stopped any potential good start that Gujarat Titans were off to in their chase of 163. InIform openers Wriddhiman Saha (14) and Shubman Gill (14) were sent back by the fiery pacer while Hardik Pandya then fell to Khaleel Ahmed. Vijay Shankar and Sai Sudharsan then calmed things down and got the GT chase back on track. Eventually, Vijay Shankar lost his wicket. Sudharsan has gone on to score a masterful half century and has put GT on cruise mode with David Miller. Miller did what he knows well to do.
