DC managed to put up 192 runs on the scorecard for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs as Meg Lanning and Jemimah Rodrigues scored half-centuries to boost their side's total. Lanning made 53 runs while Rodrigues remained unbeaten at 69 to lead Delhi to a huge total.
Then, Marizanne Kapp led the bowling attack and picked up two quick wickets to dismantle Mumbai's batting lineup. Harmanpreet Kaur and Amelia Kerr couldn't contribute much during the chase as Delhi got a stronghold into the match.
Hayley Matthews made 29 before losing her wicket Jess Jonassen, who picked up three wickets total tonight. Amanjot Kaur played a fighting inning of 42 runs but was sent back by Jonassen in the 15th over. Sanjana S played a quick cameo towards the end, scoring 24 off 14 deliveries but it wasn't enough as DC restricted MI to 163/8 in 20 overs.

Mar 05, 2024 22:52 ISTJess Jonassen picks her third wicket as Delhi Capitals register a huge victory by 29 runs
Delhi Capitals get their revenge with a 29-run victory over the defending champions Mumbai Indians. An all-round performance from the home side and Mumbai just looked clueless during the chase. Jemimah's 69-run inning was surely the game-changer but then Kapp gave Delhi a sensational start by picking up 2 wickets early which was enough to stop Mumbai from chasing.

Kapp has dismissed the MI captain! The ball was pitched on a full length around the middle and off, but it seemed to stick in the surface slightly. Harmanpreet didn't keep her bat face straight long enough, and the ball popped up off the leading edge. Radha was stationed perfectly at backward point and took the catch with ease. This is a crucial moment in the game and could have a significant impact on the outcome.
