    RCB thrash Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets to lift maiden WPL title. The RCB men couldn't do it in 16 seasons of IPL but the Women's etch their names in the history books with a title in the second season of the Women's Premier League.

    Delhi Capitals batted first, winning the toss and got off to a flying start. Shafali Verma dealt in boundaries and helped her side score 50+ runs in the powerplay. But, Sophie Molineux (4-20-3) bowled a magical over to turn the game upside down. She picked up the wickets of Shafali (44), Jemimah (0), and Alice Capsey (0) in a single over to put RCB in the driving seat.

    Shreyanka Patil (3.3-12-4) did the rest, scalping 4 wickets while Asha Sobhana (3-14-2) also grabbed two important wickets. Delhi could only manage to put up 113 runs on the scoreboard despite of having a superb start.

    Sophie Devine and Smriti Mandhana started slow for RCB but it was under control. Delhi could only manage to pick up the wickets of the openers but it was too late. Sophie Devine (32) and Smriti (31) both left the pitch after almost securing the victory for their side. Perry (37) and Richa (17) did the rest and completed the chase comfortably withing the alotted 20 overs to lift their maiden WPL title.
