A day before Diwali, India defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022 match. Team India won the thrilling match at Melbourne Cricket Ground by 4 wickets in the last ball. Virat Kohli played a stormy innings for India in the match. He was also adjudged man of the match. Team India needed 48 runs in the last three overs and from here the team took the match in its lap. Google CEO Sundar Pichai wished everyone a Happy Diwali on Twitter by celebrating India's win.

Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan shared a 152-run partnership against India in the T20 World Cup last year. India lost that match by 10 wickets. But Arshdeep Singh walked both of them in this match. While Babar Azam got a golden duck, Rizwan could only score 4 runs in 12 balls. In the first over of the match, Bhuvneshwar bowled 6 dot balls to Rizwan. He did not grasp a single ball properly.
