This news comes as a major shock for the Asia Cup 2022 winners. Dushmantha Chameera missed the Asia Cup tournament owing to an ankle injury. Now coming back from his injury, the Sri Lankan speedster picked up a similar injury toward the end of the game. Now that he has been ruled out of the Netherlands match. There are growing concerns that Chameera might also miss the rest of the entire tournament.

The incident took place in the last ball of the 17th over. Going up to bowl to Junaid Siddique, Chameera completed his run-up but couldn’t execute his delivery. Chameera was seen, hobbling up by the side of the pitch.
