East Bengal opener Ranjot Singh Khaira put up a brilliant show as East Bengal won the CAB 1st division one-day tournament final by 6 wickets. Ranjot Singh smashed 94 runs off 102 balls including 9 fours and 4 sixes to guide his team to victory. Read the full match report below.

Coming to bat first Kalighat Club openers Shreyansh and Abhishek started off well before Abhishek got caught by Ansari with a personal score of 14. However, at one end Shreyansh was scoring runs while wickets were falling on the other side. Subham(15) and Writam(6) went on a cheap score.

Meanwhile, Ravikant Sukhla(33) and Amit(44) scored some crucial runs in the middle before the big collapse of Kalighat Club happened. Shreyansh got out on a personal score of 50 runs off 73 balls which includes 2 fours and a six. Soon Kalighat Club loses their wickets at regular intervals. Although, Aritra Chatterjee comes up with a late blow as he scored 19 off 22.

Kalighat Club bundled out on 197 in 47.1 overs before 17 balls in the limited 50 overs. For EB Club, Shreyan, Sohom, and Sourav took 2 wickets each while Ayan, Rohit, and Subhankar took one each.

Coming into the chase, East Bengal loses the wicket of their in-form opener Ankur Pal, who goes for a two-ball duck. However, after that Sudip Gharami and Ranjot Singh put the team forward and build a heavy partnership of 135 runs. Mithilesh broke the partnership when he dismissed Sudip(62 off 65) in the 24th over. The score was then 139-2 in 24 Overs.

Later, Sayan Sekhar Mondol(8) came and joined Ranjot Singh. After the wicket of Sayan, Subhankar Bal came as he played a nice cameo and remained out on 15 off 17. For Kalighat Club, Mithilesh Das took three wickets while Pritam Chakraborty took one. East Bengal won the match by 6 wickets and 14.1 overs to spare.
