Kane Williamson got past Ross Taylor to top the list of most runs for New Zealand in Test Cricket. Williamson achieved the record on Day 4 of the second Test match against England at Wellington's Basin Reserve. Williamson has struggled for runs and played a brilliant knock to lift New Zealand from a position of survival to dominance in the series decider against the English Test team. The former New Zealand captain hit England fast bowler James Anderson to break Taylor's record.
Ross Taylor appeared in 112 Tests and scored 7684 runs with an average of 44.16, including 19 centuries, three double tonnes, and 35 fifties. He congratulated Williamson on Twitter on becoming New Zealand's all-time leading Test run-scorer.

Williamson reached the milestone in his 92nd Test and 161st innings, far outpacing Taylor's 112 Tests and 196 innings. Let's see who are on the list with the most runs for New Zealand In Test Cricket.
Congratulations Kane for becoming NZ’s highest Test run-scorer. This achievement is a testament to your hard work and dedication to Test Cricket, of which I was privy to for a number of years. Here’s to many more 🍷
Former Kiwi batter Ross Taylor picks up five emerging batters who can do wonders in the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Meanwhile, this is the first T20 World Cup since Taylor retired from all forms of the game. He said that he is now ready to have a different experience watching from the other side for the first time.
Ross Taylor is excited to watch some exciting young talents in the tournament as he picks these five following pics for the mega event.
Haider Ali is a player who really has something about him. Pakistan moves him up and down the order but wherever he bats, he is capable of hitting the ground running.
There will always be a lot of runs scored by Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. They often face a lot of the balls in an innings, so they will need guys like Haider to play cameos down the order. He has been a big part of Pakistan's series win over New Zealand recently. He strikes at over 200 in the third match of the series.
It's not often both Babar and Rizwan will fail, one of them will generally face around 40 or 50 balls, so they need other guys to bat quickly around them. Haider is certainly capable of doing that.
Ross Taylor said: I know from experience that four is not an easy place to bat in T20 cricket. That's especially true for Suryakumar Yadav, who is coming in after KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli. Some would find that an intimidating place to be but he has really taken to it. He can pick out unorthodox areas and he's fearless.
He plays with a lot of confidence, you can tell that from the way he carries himself, and he doesn't go many innings without making a score. Coming in at four and five are, in my opinion, the toughest places to bat in T20 cricket. You could come in at 10 for two and if you lose three wickets inside the six-over powerplay, you lose the majority of your matches.
You need to mix intent with risk management but that's something Yadav does really well. Whether chasing or setting a total, he bats with a similar mindset and India will be looking to him to continue that form in Australia.
Tim David has had a different transition into international cricket, starting out with Singapore before going on to shine in the IPL and other competitions around the world.
He has had some useful cameos in his brief appearances for Australia so far and he obviously has a lot of power. Moreover, he seems to be able to hit boundaries with ease. He will slot into an Australian team already packed with firepower – the fact someone as talented as Cameron Green couldn't get in the squad tells its own story.
Ross Taylor said, I think Australian fans are going to really love him and cricket fans all around the world are going to enjoy watching him. He knows those pitches and conditions and I think he could be set for a big month.
I was in India recently playing a legends series and caught a bit of England's T20 series against Pakistan. Harry Brook got 80-odd <81 not out> in one of the games and really caught the eye.
I first saw him in 2018, when I was playing for Nottinghamshire against Brook's Yorkshire in English domestic cricket, and he looked like a good player back then. He has since gone on to play Test cricket and looks like he has a big career ahead of him.
Brook is an example of someone who has been brought up in T20 cricket, so smacking the ball from ball one has become second nature. My generation had to learn that while we were playing but these guys have grown up doing it, they do it without blinking an eye.
England has a settled white ball line-up so the fact Brook has forced his way in shows they see something special in him. Having also played in the Big Bash for Hobart Hurricanes, he won't be overawed by the crowds or the size of the boundaries. He'll be ready for what comes at him.
Ross Taylor: I have to mention New Zealand and it looks like Finn Allen will open the batting, so he will be relied upon to get the team off to a fast start. Devon Conway and Kane Williamson are more conservative in the way they go about it. So, they will be looking to Allen to get that strike rate up and lay the foundations for those guys.
At 23, he is the youngest member of the New Zealand side which is aging, so they will need Finn and some of the other young guys to make their mark.
Allen could play in place of Martin Guptill, so he may be under a bit of pressure, but he's got the endorsement of the coach and this tournament is a great opportunity to show he can be a big part of this team for years to come.
When India takes the field to play arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday to start their Asia Cup 2022 campaign, star batter Virat Kohli will represent the nation in his 100th T20I match. Meanwhile, he will also become the first player in history to play 100 matches for India in all three formats of the game.
Virat Kohli will become only the second player after Kiwi batter Ross Taylor to turn out in 100 matches in all three formats. Before retirement, Ross Taylor represented New Zealand in 112 Tests, 236 ODIs, and 102 T20Is.
Being able to represent the country in 100 matches in each format is proof of Virat's longevity in the game. Since his international debut in 2008, his consistency and the unwavering faith his side has shown in him despite various ups and downs in his decorated career.
So far, Virat has represented Team India in 99 T20I games, in which he has aggregated 3,308 runs at an average of 50.12. His best individual score for India in this format is 94 and he has scored 30 half-centuries in this format.
Between 2017-2021, this star batter has led his side 50 teams as captain. Out of these 50 games, he has won 30 and lost 16. Two matches have ended in a tie while two failed to produce a result. His win percentage as a captain in this format is an impressive 64.58.
2022 in particular has been very tough for Virat Kohli
This year, Virat has played only four T20Is for his side, across which he has scored 81 runs at a subpar average of 20.25. His best score in the format this year is 52.
All eyes will be on this star batter to regain his form with a match-winning knock and perhaps hit his much anticipated 71st international century. He has gone over 1,000 days without scoring a century at the international level.
Since his last international century in November 2019, Kohli has played a total of 27 T20Is since his final international ton, he has scored 858 runs in this format at an average of 42.90. His best score in this format is 94*. He has hit eight half-centuries in this format since his last ton.
In all formats combined, he has featured in 68 international matches since his last international ton and scored 2,554 runs across all formats in 82 innings at an average of 34.05. He has hit 24 half-centuries across all formats.
India is to take on Pakistan on Sunday, August 28 in the 2nd match of the Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai. The final will be played on September 11.
ODI cricket is something that needs both patience and a scoring nature. It's a kind of mixture of Test and T20 cricket. To be a master in this format you need to stay in the crease as long as you can. However, scoring runs in consecutive ODI innings is not a cup of tea for everyone out there. In this article, SportzPoint gonna look at the batters with the most runs in 10 consecutive ODI innings.

#4. Ross Taylor | 834 runs (2018-19)

#3. Babar Azam | 837 runs (2021-22)
Pakistan captain Babar Azam registered himself as the third player to feature on this list. Babar has registered 837 runs in the 2021-22 seasons in his 10 consecutive ODI innings.
In ODIs, Babar Azam has recorded 4664 runs in 90 innings at 59.79. Babar has registered 22 half-centuries and 17 centuries. 158 is his highest score in the format.
Australia opener David Warner scored 857 runs in his 10 consecutive ODI innings back in the 2016-17 season. Therefore, he comes at the second position on this list of batsmen with the most runs in 10 consecutive ODI innings.

No surprise that the top position is occupied by modern cricket legend Virat Kohli, who has aggregated 995 runs in his 10 consecutive ODI innings in 2018. Thus, Kohli is leading the charts by miles ahead of others.
In ODIs, Virat has recorded 12344 runs in 253 innings at an average of 57.68. Moreover, Kohli has added 64 half-centuries and 43 centuries in the format. 183 is his highest score in the format which came against Pakistan at the Asia Cup.
