The South Africa international played 128 matches to achieve the milestone. He continued his good run with the bat and anchored the innings on a slow pitch at Jaipur. While his opening partner Virat Kohli got out early in the game, du Plessis combined with Maxwell to rebuild the innings. The batter has led the Orange Cap race throughout the season, although players like Yashasvi Jaiswal are quickly catching on to the RCB batter in the final stretch of the tournament. So far, du Plessis has hit seven half-centuries this season.
