From riding an auto to playing for Mumbai: Juned Khan's story will inspire millions

Juned Khan, originally from Uttar Pradesh, left home in search of work and moved to Mumbai as a 14-year-old kid in 2014. Juned used to drive an autorickhsaw before cricket changed his forunes.

Juned Khan, originally from Uttar Pradesh, left home in search of work and moved to Mumbai as a 14-year-old kid in 2014. He stayed in a small room, worked in a garment factory and then started driving an auto-rickshaw before former Mumbai cricketer Manish Bangera discovered him.

Bangera helped him with new spikes and urged him to bowl regularly. After that Abhishek Nayar scouted him from Police Shield and asked him to join KKR as a net bowler.

Last week, Juned made his first-class debut for Mumbai in Irani Cup 2024 and took the wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the first inning.

He alos has been named in the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad for the first two games of the season as well. Juned idolises Mohammed Shami and wishes not to leave Mumbai ever.
