 Arjun Tendulkar struck early with the wicket of Wriddhiman Saha while Piyush Chawla got Hardik Pandya off the first ball of the first over after a powerplay. Shubman Gill ensured Gujarat Titans keep their run rate up in the powerplay. He fell on 56 off 34 after David Miller and Abhinav Manohar pushed GT for a big finish. Manohar fell on 42 off 21 while Miller then fell on 46 off 22. Rahul Tewatia came in and smashed 20 runs in just five balls and that helped Gujarat Titans to a score of 207/6 in 20 overs. In reply, MI were hardly ever able to get their innings going. Shubman Gill started off brilliantly during the powerplay

GT were off to a positive start after Rohit Sharma decided to field. The Titans managed to accumulate just 17 runs in the first three overs. Arjun Tendulkar dismissed Wriddhiman Saha for only 4 runs in the third over. Gill and Hardik Pandya regained momentum for GT thereafter. Cameron Green conceded 17 runs off the final over of the Powerplay as GT reached 50/1 after six overs.

Piyush Chawla struck right after the end of the powerplay. He dismissed Hardik Pandya for 13 runs. Vijay Shankar came into the pitch and constructed a partnership with in-form Shubman Gill. Gill brought up his third fifty of the season in the 10th over. Gill and Vijay Shankar scored 16 runs in that over. Shubman Gill now has 17 half-centuries in the cash-rich league. Gill finished with 56 off 34 balls with the help of 7 fours and a massive six. Kumar Kartikeya dismissed him in the first delivery of the 12th over. Piyush Chawla then scalped the wicket of Vijay Shankar in the next over as Gujarat Titans lost their 4th wicket at the score of 101.

David Miller & Manohar carried GT on their back to a huge total

Abhinav Manohar & David Miller brought Gujarat back into the match with a healthy partnership of 71 runs. David Miller smashed 4 huge sixes as well as 2 boundaries. He scored 46 runs in 22 deliveries before Behrendorff sent him home in the last over. Manohar also supported him really well and no one thought Gujarat will get past 200. Manohar smashed 3 sixes & 3 boundaries as he scored 42 runs in just 21 deliveries with a strike rate of 200.

Gujarat Titans put up 207/6 after the end of 20 overs. Arjun Tendulkar picked up a single wicket in his 2-over spell and he only gave away 9 runs. Piyush Chawla was the best bowler for Mumbai as he gave away only 34 runs in his 4-over spell and also picked up 2 crucial wickets.

Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan & Noor Ahmed struck early to keep Mumbai under trouble

Hardik Pandya scalped the wicket of Rohit Sharma and Mumbai fell under pressure while chasing the mammoth target. Camron Green started well despite Rohit's dismissal but Ishan Kishal seemed lost in the match. He struggled throughout the game and eventually lost his wicket after facing 21 deliveries. Chasing a target of 208, Mumbai lost both openers under 43 runs. He only managed to score 13 runs. Rashid Khan struck twice in the 8th over as he also sent Tilak Varma home after Kishan.

Cameron Green has been exceptional throughout this season and once again he delivered. He scored 33 runs after smashing 3 huge sixes but Noor Ahmed dismissed him at the right time. He also picked up the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav for 23 runs. Mumbai lost half of their team at the score of 59 runs. Before that, Noor sent Tim David home for a duck.

Nehal Wadhera tried his best with some power-hittings. He scored 40 runs including 3 sixes & 3 boundaries in just 21 deliveries but the early wickets cost Mumbai big time. Piyush Chawla (18) & Arjun Tendulkar (13) also tried but the required run rate was too big to maintain. Noor Ahmed was the best bowler for Gujarat as he picked up 3 crucial wickets as Rashid & Mohit got two wickets each. GT registered a huge victory over MI by 55 run margin.
