Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian Women’s team captain has been in phenomenal touch with the bat recently. The right-handed batter smashed England bowlers all over the park in the second WODI between England and India. Kaur scored her second hundred as captain in WODIs as she remained not out on 143 in 111 balls. Harmanpreet Kaur’s first WODI match as a captain was in 2013. She captained the team against Bangladesh Women and played an unbeaten inning of 63 from 100 balls. Harmanpreet kept her form going in the next match and scored his first ton as the captain of the ODI team. Batting at the No.4 position she faced only 101 balls to score 103 runs in that match.

After becoming the full-time captain of the Indian Women’s cricket team, Harmanpreet Kaur has played only 5 matches in the WODI format. Astonishingly her lowest score in these five matches is 44. “That [captaining] is something I really enjoy:” Harmanpreet Kaur on her stats as captain in WODIs

In the post-match presentation when asked about her stats as captain in WODIs Harmanpreet said, “that is something I really enjoy.”

“Whenever I am leading, I am really in the game. I really enjoy this. I am really happy that I am getting all the support from BCCI, support staff and all the players. And, I am enjoying this,” she added.
