Amla brought up his highest score against India when he scored 253* in 2010 at Nagpur and led the visitors to a massive win by an innings and 6 runs.

The Former Proteas explosive batter made his debut in Test Cricket against England in 2004. Since then, he played 114 test matches until his retirement and made 8765 runs with a healthy average of 50.66.

'Mr. 360' Ab de Villiers has amassed an impressive total of 1334 runs in 20 test matches against India and stands 4th on this list. On 4 April 2008, de Villiers became the first South African to score a double century against India with his top score of 217.

Virender Sehwag is one of India's greatest right-handed openers to have ever played the game. In 15 matches against South Africa, he scored 1,306 runs at an average of 50.23. He scored five tons and two fifties against the Proteas in Test cricket. Sehwag, the first Indian to hit a Test triple century, brought up his highest inning of 319 against South Africa in 2008 five-day at Chennai.
