ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Australia's record total against Pakistan
Despite Pakistan taking four wickets for just 27 runs in the last five overs, Australia ended up with a mammoth total of 367/9 during the 18th match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

Australia piled up a total of 367/9, which is the highest any team have scored against Pakistan in a World Cup match. Mitchell Marsh scored his maiden ODI World Cup century. He lost his wicket to Afridi on 121 off 108 balls but Warner went on to score 163 off just 124 balls. David Warner scored his fifth IPL century and he is now two centuries away from equalling Rohit's 7 centuries.

It was only the fourth time in World Cup history that both openers scored centuries in the same match. Without Afridi's five-wicket haul, Pakistan were seen nowhere in the game. Rauf was hammered 70 runs in his first five overs by the Australian openers.

Warner survived twice on 10 and 105 but Marsh was well-focused on a smooth Chinnaswamy Stadium. Iftikhar Ahmed also bowled really well especially on a surface like Bengaluru as he returned with 37/0 in his 8-over spell. Although it came after Warner and Marsh's dismissal but it was indeed necessary.
