India suffered second biggest defeat 

India suffered the second-biggest defeat in terms of runs in their T20 World Cup history. The Kiwi team defeated India by 58 runs. New Zealand won the toss and gave India a target of 161 runs. In response, India was all out for 102 runs.

India will have to improve its team combination

Team India's record against Pakistan under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur was excellent, but they will have to improve its team combination before the match. Against New Zealand, India had to make changes to their batting order to include an additional fast bowler in the form of Arundhati Reddy.

Because of this, Harmanpreet had to bat at number three, Jemimah Rodrigues at number four and Richa Ghosh at number five, whereas usually they do not bat at these positions. India can now include Dayalan Hemalatha in the playing eleven to strengthen its batting.

Pakistan defeated Asian champions

Pakistan meanwhile defeated Asian champions Sri Lanka in their opening game. They suffered defeats in the warm-up games but managed to start the tournament on a positive note. Their players are due four months’ salary and the captaincy change was expected to hurt the team morale but that didn’t happen.

Pakistan has good bowlers like experienced Nida Dar, captain Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal.
