India:

Shubman Gill has been playing brilliantly in the last few matches but in the 1st & 2nd T20, he has struggled against the Kiwi bowling lineup. He would like to make a comeback in the series decider at Ahmedabad. Ishan Kishan's run drought is still going on, as he is in very poor form right now. Hardik Pandya & Suryakumar Yadav stood tall against the kiwi line-up in the last match but it has clearly been difficult for the Indian batsmen to face the kiwi bowling attacks in the T20 series so far, So, It's going to be interesting how the Indian Batting in the 3rd T20 turns out.

On the other hand, India's bowling improved a lot in recent times in the T20s. Arshdeep Singh looked confident in the second T20 after some dreadful performances. Kuldeep Singh is continuing his form at the highest level. Hardik Pandya, Sundar, & Hooda also performed really well in the last match. The bowling side looking pretty confident ahead going before the series decider.

New Zealand:

The whole batting lineup of New Zealand broke down against the bowling of India. After a brilliant performance from the batters in the 1st T20, they were looking confident before the 2nd T20. Indian bowlers improve their games & the Kiwi batters struggled and bowled out for only 99. So the Batters would like to make the comeback in the third T20. Santner might make no changes as they have no better 11 right now than that.

The bowlers have been very influential for the Kiwis in the first two T20s. This is the strong and positive side of New Zealand. Although New Zealand scored only 99 runs in the last match, they also dragged the match with the help of their bowlers to the very last over. Santner & Sodhi has been impressive while Bracewell is not giving runs to the opposition. This is going to be a very exciting series decider at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Considering India had exceptional test cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sunil Gavaskar, what is it about this man that his test exit is feeling like an irreplaceable void?

  • Virat Kohli is the most successful Indian Test captain and holds the record for most victories, with 40 wins in total.
  • His captaincy at home soil was exceptional, which showed everyone how dominant the Indian team can be, winning 24 out of 31 matches.

Social media is flooded with posts and comments like "End of an Era," "Test cricket won't be the same without the King," "Grew up watching him fire in tests, a part of our childhood is gone today," and many others.

While some people are recalling those "memories and battles," some are acknowledging "the irreplaceable void and future of test cricket for India."

The kind of reaction and energy from the fandom makes it obvious to speculate how challenging it can be to keep the same level of interest in tests now. It makes it even questionable as the former captain, Rohit Sharma, has also decided to retire from Test cricket, days before Kohli's retirement.

The whole nation will definitely miss Ro-Ko in tests. But will it affect their interest in this format?
