Openers Davina Perrin and Captain Abigale Norgrove provide England with a flying start. Perrin smashed 45 off 40 balls, laced with two sixes and four boundaries, while Norgrove added 30 off 25 balls, including three fours and a six. Their aggressive approach moved England to 73-2 at the halfway mark.
However, India's bowlers wrestled back control in the latter half. Ayushi Shukla dismissed both set batters, breaking England's momentum. The tournament's leading wicket-taker Vaishnavi Sharma delivered a sensational 16th over taking three wickets as England collapsed to 92-8. India's response was emphatic. Openers Trisha Gongadi and Kamalini G provided a solid foundation, racing to 44/0 in the powerplay. Gongadi to-scored with 35 off 29 before Phoebe Britt managed a breakthrough.
But there was no stopping India. Kamalini G and Sanika Chalke took control, guiding their team to 70-1 at the halfway stage. Kamalini's flurry of boundaries ensured India reached the target comfortably in just 15 overs, sealing a dominant nine-wicket victory.
Parunika Sisodia, whose brilliant spell of 3/14 turned the game in India's favor, was named player of the match.
