Fantasy Cricket Dream 11 prediction : India v England 4th T20 International Preview

Make your dream 11 team with our Fantasy Cricket Dream 11 prediction for the series decider between India and England.

Mar 18, 2021, 11:02 AM5 min read

Before we can start our Fantasy Cricket Dream 11 prediction for India v England 4th T20 International, here is the story of the series. After going behind for a second time in the 5-Match T20 International series against England on Tuesday, team India would desperately look for a win tonight and take the series to the final game on Saturday.

England cruised to an 8-wicket win a couple of days ago, on the back of a masterful 83-run innings from Jos Buttler, ably supported by Jonny Bairstow, who, despite having been out of sorts across formats, having been summoned back in India after being sent home from the tour of Sri Lanka, has begun to find his groove ahead of the IPL, with a 40-run knock of 28 deliveries.

Visit Our Fantasy Sports page.

Earlier that day, put in to bat, India lost their top order within the powerplay itself, and skipper Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant were tasked with the rebuild of the innings. A mix-up in the middle meant that Pant fell short at the non-striker's end attempting a third run, and had to depart.

Kohli, who was partly to blame for the run out, stepped on the accelerator after that, producing yet another T20 masterclass in the process, and finished with 77 to his name. The likes of Jofra Archer and Mark Wood, both of whom are known for bowling at sheer pace at the back end of the innings, were taken to the cleaners by the Indian skipper, with Kohli taking 15 and 16 off Archer and Wood respectively at the death.

Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

Ground Stats

As per the weather department, it is going to be a warm evening with no rain forecasted. The pitch, which has been used frequently over the past few days, has become slower and slower over the course of time.

So far, the average first innings total has been hovering around 140, taking into account all the T20 matches being played here including the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, and teams have successfully chased down targets on 8 occasions out of them. Once again, the match will be played without the presence of audience in the stands.

India v England 4th T20 International Preview: Team News

Team News - India

KL Rahul's bad run of form has been a cause of concern of late, but the way Virat Kohli and the team management have backed him in public, it is likely that he will retain his place in the side. India might want to utilize the first six overs. Therefore, they can promote Ishan Kishan, who has been nothing short of a revelation on his debut a couple of games ago with a breezy half-century.

He can be sent to open the batting along with Rohit Sharma, and drop Rahul to 3. Kohli also indicated upon including an additional bowling option to the side in the form of an all-rounder, which might result in Shreyas Iyer being left out of the XI.

This might make either one of Rahul Tewatia or Axar Patel playing their first match of the series. Kohli or Rohit can be your main man for your Dream 11 team.

Team News - England

England, who have the upper-hand in the series, would look to save the changes for the following game and focus on sealing the series today itself.

Although they might consider adding another spinner in Moeen Ali, given that the same pitch has been used several times in the past couple of months, the luxury of having a left-arm quick in Sam Curran, who doubles up as a handy lower-order bat, is too tempting to miss out on. According to our Fantasy Cricket Dream 11 prediction, Buttler will be the main man for England.

Fantasy Cricket Dream 11 prediction: India v England 4th T20 International Probable XI

Probable XI: India

Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Lokesh Rahul, Virat Kohli (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Rahul Tewatia/Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal

Probable XI: England

Jason Roy, Jos Buttler (wk), Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Eoin Morgan (c), Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, Chris Jordan, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood

India v England: Dream 11 Team prediction

Fantasy Cricket Dream 11 prediction : India v England 4th T20 International Preview

Virat Kohli's form over the last couple of matches makes him an automatic choice in this fantasy XI, and likewise can be said on England keeper Jos Buttler.

Therefore, the two can be captained and vice-captained respectively without much reluctance. Ben Stokes and Hardik Pandya will be playing a crucial role with both bat and ball, which is why they are important to this side as well.

Wrist-spinners in T20 Cricket are cheat codes for wickets at times, albeit at the expense of a lot of runs at times, therefore both Yuzvendra Chahal and Adil Rashid are a necessity.

There is the option of picking Rishabh Pant over Sam Curran, if one prefers runs and catches/stumpings over wickets. Then again, Curran is a handy lower order bat who can be summoned on to bowl at any stage of the innings, providing more probability of wickets.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar's economy rate in the series so far ensures his presence in the side ahead of Jofra Archer or Mark Wood.

About Fantasy Sports

Fantasy sports have origins in traditional sports like cricket and soccer, and more recently, fantasy has made its way to virtual games. In this unusual sport, participants gather into virtual teams whose prototypes compete in competitions, scoring points according to objective performance statistics. The teams with the most points win tournaments.

Fantasy sports increase interest in watching real matches. Players are more closely following fantasy team players, are wary of substitutions, and look forward to the game until the final whistle, regardless of the score.

During a fantasy match, even unpopular players get favourites, emotional bonds are formed, and even low-status games become more interesting to watch.

Unsightly matches between underdogs can be the ultimate game for fantasy players as they determine the fate of the top prize of winning the fantasy tournament. You can play fantasy sports on different platforms in India and around the world as well. The total market of fantasy sports keeps on growing day by day in India with companies like Dream11 and MPL doing great job attracting the users with great interface and marketing strategies.

Rise of Fantasy Esports

The popularity of this unusual sport in the world is growing yearly: the number of participants in the official fantasy Premier League annually breaks records and exceeds millions. In addition, social networks and messengers have contributed to the emergence of local communities where teams and matches are actively discussed.

Fantasy esports is a rather new offshoot of traditional sports, but it has already won many fans not only in India but all over the world. The only difference between traditional and virtual fantasy sports is that the team is formed by e-sportsmen.

Participants can take part in various esports events, the most popular of which are

  • The International Dota 2
  • League of Legends World Championship

Having a 2-0 lead, India already had one hand on the trophy when they faced West Indies for the last match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Kieron Pollard-captained West Indies side won the toss and elected to bowl first.

After an early departure of opener Ruturaj Gaikwad on 4 (8), Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer took a hold to rotate the innings and made a good partnership. Kishan made 34 off 31 and Iyer made 25 off 16 deliveries before going to the pavilion.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma made only 7 off 15 balls, leaving the team in trouble after he was bowled by Dominic Drakes in the 13th over. India was on 93/4 at this point.

However, Suryakumar Yadav took it all on himself and made a blazing 65 runs off just 31 deliveries, studded with one boundary and seven sixes! On the other end, Venkatesh Iyer provided solid support to Surya as he remained not out on 35 off 19, an innings with four boundaries and two over-boundaries.

India finished their innings on a safe total of 184/5, leaving a tough job for the West Indian batters.

In response, West Indies faced early calamities with both of their openers going back to the pavilion within the first three overs. Deepak Chahar took both wickets to startle the Windies innings.

Nicholas Pooran held the ground for the Caribbeans in the first down, building a composed innings of 61 off 47 balls. The rest of the team did not have much to deliver as only Rovman Powell and Romario Shepherd tried to build some resistance.

Although Powell and Shepherd respectively scored 25 (14) and 29 (21); West Indies ended their innings on 167/9, handing India a victory by 17 runs.

India lifted the trophy with a clean sweep over West Indies, whereas Suryakumar Yadav was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series

This series win was visibly significant, leaving doors for the selectors to see a potential leader in Suryakumar Yadav for India in the T20Is. Suryakumar indeed has succeeded Rohit Sharma as the captain for the Indian team in T20I.

Suryakumar Yadav is set to captain India in the 5-match series against England, from January 22nd to February 2nd, 2025.
