He never gave Afghans a chance to make a comeback in the game. Apart from a sensational 131 from the skipper, Ishan Kishan also made a solid 47. Kohli and Shreyas Iyer finished on 55 and 25 respectively as India wrap up the contest with 15 overs to spare.

Iyer who lost his wicket early in the last match, started really well today against the Afghans. He goes for a monstreaus hit as he strikes Mujeeb for a 101-meter six, probably the biggest of this WC edition so far.

Afghainstan missed a trick by not bringing Rashid Khan into the attack early. Rashid, who has a great record Rohit Sharma, came to bowl when Rohit was already on 80!

Afghanistan looking to work on history the Indian batters had in recent past. Left arm pacer Fazal from one end and Mujeeb-Ur-Rahaman from another end for Afghanistan against Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan.

Both Ishan and Rohit were dismissed early with pace in the game against Australia. Moreover, both of them have history against left-armers.

With Mujeeb, they are looking to trap Rohit on the crease. Mujeeb were able to dismiss him in the 2019 World Cup in England. However, this time, it does not look like he will get that amount of help under the lights here in Delhi.

The Afghans had to struggle through their batting inning but managed to push forward and ended up scoring 272 runs after losing 8 wickets. Captain Shahidi and Omarzai led the way from the front to push their team while Bumrah and Kuldeep had their moments.

Bumrah ended up giving his best performance in the World Cup while Kuldeep bowled cheaper than ever. After losing three quick wickets, Omarzai and Shahidi constructed a 121-run partnership, their highest in the ODI World Cup. Siraj had a day to forget as he leaked 76 runs from his 9-over spell without taking a single wicket.

Rashid Khan was just unleashing himself as he just played a 14-run over against Siraj. But it is Bumrah's day and he knows it. Rashid plays a uppercut over the backward point. The ball goes very high and two fielders converge. Kuldeep and Jadeja both want the catch but Yadav ends up taking it. He almost missed it but stick out both hands and pouched it safely.

Bumrah took two wickets in an over. Afghanistan lost their 7th wicket as Nabi departed for 19 after facing 27 deliveries. The ball skids and thuds into the front pad. Bumrah appealed and the umpire raised his finger. Nabi decided to review the decision but it's umpire's call on ball tracking. A big blow for Afghanistan.

Bumrah came up with his second wicket of the match. He came to bowl his final spell and ended up taking a wicket. Najibullah Zadran is caught in the deep. A slower ball from Bumrah outside off and Zadran went for a big shot. Virat Kohli comes in from sweeper-cover and takes an easy catch.

Kuldeep Yadav put the cherry on the top of his 10-over spell by picking up the key wicket of AFG skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi. He departs after a brilliant inning of 80 after facing 88 deliveries.

The spinner traps him right in front of the stumps. Shahidi goes for the reverse sweep but misses the ball completely. Shahidi takes the review in hope but ball-tracking confirms that the decision of the on-field umpire is spot-on.

Kuldeep ends his spell with 1 wicket after leaking only 40 runs in 10 overs.

Hashmat and Nabi trying to construct a partnership here after they lost the wicket of well settled Omarzai.

Shardul Thakur comes back into the attack. He just gives two singles.

Hardik Pandya manages to break the 121-run stand. His celebrations say it all. A huge roar from the pumped-up Birthday Boy as he knocks over Azmatullah Omarzai with a slower ball. An off-cutter from Hardik and Omarzai plays it down the wrong line. The ball takes the top of his off stump. Omarzai walks back after a well-made 69-ball 62.

Nabi is the new batsman.

Omarzai hits back-to-back sixes in Kuldeep's fifth over to take Afghanistan over the 100-run mark. Both batsmen are looking confident now as they successfully got past the spin challenge with ease during the first spell.

The Skipper leading his team from the front. A mature knock this has been from Hashmatullah Shahidi. The skipper completes his 17th ODI half-century off 62 balls.

Kuldeep Yadav started tightly as he only leaked 2 runs from his first over of the spell. Sir Jadeja followed him and came up with a better over and leaked only 1 run.

Kuldeep Yadav came back and bowled a 3-run over. AFG batters are under pressure but they can't afford to loose any more wickets. Jadeja on the other side is bowling cheaper than ever. 20 overs done and AFG are 83-3.

A loud LBW appeal from Shardul Thakur against Rahmat Shah. The umpire raised his finger. Rahmat wasn't convinced as he spoke to Shahidi and decided to go upstairs.

It's OUT. Umpire's call on hitting the stumps. Back to back fall for Afghanistan as they are under pressure now. Another set batsman, Rahmat Shah departs for 16 runs. Shardul celebrates his first ODI World Cup wicket.

Zadran started off the over with a boundary. But after that, it was all Bumrah.
