India vs Australia: India takes a 2-0 lead in the series, defeating Australia by 44 runs in the 2nd T20I clash

Not a great performance by the Indian bowlers but they did the job. India takes 2-0 lead in the series with this 44-run victory. Ravi Bishnoi and Prasidh Krishna shared six wickets among themselves with Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel, and Mukesh Kumar picking a wicket each. Chasing 236, Australia kept losing wickets but Marcus Stoinis and Tim David fought back. However, Bishnoi removed David and Mukesh got the wicket of Stoinis and that was it.

The skipper struck his first six in the 18th over and then struck two more in the 19th over. It's quite late but also boosts their confidence before heading towards the next three games.

Prasidh Krishna removes Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis in the same over. It's all over for Australia now and India are cruising toward their 2nd straight victory in the series.

Mukesh Kumar strikes and he dismisses the dangerous Stoinis. Stoinis walks off, scoring 45 runs after facing 25 deliveries.

David tried to go over the top but couldn't find the elevation as Ruturaj Gaikwad took a comfortable catch at long off.

Australia do have lost 4 wickets but the run flow hasn't stopped yet. Tim David and Stoinis carry on to punish the Indian bowlers and the Men In Blues have to dismiss either of them to stop that.

Prasidh Krishna dismisses Steve Smith who goes over the deep but the connection wasn't right and Yashasvi Jaiswal takes a brilliant catch diving full stretch.

Australia are in the mud. India are now in complete control. Axar gets his man and wins the battle as Maxwell hits straight down the throat of Yashasvi Jaiswal at long-on.

Tilak Varma pulls off an excellent catch at mid-on as Bishnoi grabs his second wicket. Josh Inglis has to walk back and Maxwell is now coming on.

Ravi Bishnoi dismisses Short with a brilliant googly as the batsman gets an inside edge and the leg stump shatters.

Matt Short and Smith provide Australia with a great start. Both openers have made up their mind from the dugouts and now they are punishing the Indian pacers. Brilliant start for the Aussies.

After brilliant half-centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan, India post a mammoth 235/4 in 20 overs. Cameos from Suryakumar and Rinku Singh helped the side reach the total. This was a epic batting show from the Indian top-order after being asked to bat first.

Ruturaj falls for a brilliant 43-ball 58. He did his job perfectly but Ellis got the better of the Indian opener.

Ruturaj Gaikwad completes his half-century off 39 deliveries and that's a selfless knock from the opener.

Suryakumar departs on Ellis' slower delivery. H ended up gifting a simple catch to Stoinis at deep.

The batsman went for a big hit that was bowled way outside of the off-stump, got into an awkward position, and attempted a one-handed shot, but the ball landed safely in the hands of Ellis.

Ishan got to his half-century with a huge six to reach his second consecutive fifty in 29 balls. A brilliant inning from the left-handed Wicket-keeper.

The boundaries have dried up ever since Jaiswal departed. Gaiwad is batting on 32 after facing 27 deliveries while Kishan is on 12 after playing 14 deliveries.

Jaiswal goes for a big hit but finds Zampa in the third-man position. He departs for a 25-ball 53 and the 77-run opening stand has been broken. Ishan Kishan is the new batsman.

Jaiswal dominated the Australian bowling attack with a brilliant half-century in just 24 balls with nine boundaries and two sixes at a strike rate of 220.83.

India accumulates 24 runs from the 4th over. Jaiswal is batting on 36 after facing just 18 deliveries.

"We were also looking to chase looking at the amount of dew that was there last night. It'll be a new challenge for us, to go out there and put a score and then defend it. The last game gave us a lot of confidence, the boys were great, we will carry the same momentum. Captaincy is a new challenge and responsibility, I'm enjoying it. We're going in with the same team."
