India chased down a low target of 75 runs by eight wickets on Day 4 of the one-off women's Test match against Australia at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. The Women in Blues create history as this is their first-ever victory over the Aussies in the Test format. Sneh Rana would be proud of herself after being awarded the Player of the Match award for her sensational bowling performances throughout the two innings in the India vs Australia Women's one-off test match.

10 matches have been played between the two sides and Australia had won four while six had ended in a draw. This was the first time the teams were playing a Test in India since 1984 and India emerged as the winner.
This is the Indian Women's team's seventh test match victory in 40 matches. They are now the third-most successful team in the format behind Australia (21) and England (20).
What happened in the India vs Australia Women's one-off test match?
India lost the toss and Australia batted first at the Wankhede Stadium. The Indian bowlers led by Pooja Vastrakar and Sneh Rana restricted the visitors to 219. India then went on to post 406 in the first inning. Australia put up a much-improved batting effort in their second innings but a late fightback on Day 3 final session and a strong show on Day 4 by the Indian spinners restricted them to 261.
The Women in Blues had to chase only 75 runs to win the match and they lost the wickets of Shafali Verma and Richa Ghosh but Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues took the side past the finish line.
India will next play three ODIs and three T20Is against Australia in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai respectively.
