IPL 2022 stats: Diamond ducks by Captains in IPL

KL Rahul has been in sublime form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. However, he has played some ordinary innings as well. Previously KL Rahul has registered two golden ducks in this season. Golden Duck is a term used for a batsman getting out on the first ball of his innings. Meanwhile, now he was dismissed on a diamond duck in the lastest game against Kolkata Knight Riders.

A diamond duck – when a batter is dismissed without facing any legal balls. The skipper of Lucknow Super Giants was run-out due to confusion with opening partner Quinton De Kock. The South African wicket-keeper called KL for a single but refused at the last moment, which resulted in the downfall of the Indian batter.

The right-handed batsman has accumulated 451 runs in 11 matches so far with the help of two hundreds and as many fifties.
