This time many big players will be bidding in the IPL 2023 auction. The names of players like Kane Williamson, Joe Root, Sam Curran, and Ben Stokes are on this list. A total of 85 players have been released by all the franchises ahead of the upcoming IPL auction.

The auction will organize on 23 December for the 16th season of the Indian Premier League. Preparations are going on in full swing regarding this. Along with the franchises, many players are very keen on the IPL 2023 auction. This time teams can bid big on many star players. However, all the franchises had demanded BCCI to extend the date of the auction. But BCCI refused to extend the date.

In the meantime, from Sam Karan to Ben Stokes, Kane Williamson, Alex Hales, Adil Rashid, Cameron Green, and all the big players will participate in the first mini-auction of IPL 2023. This time mini-auction is going to be very interesting. It has to be seen which team bets on which player. Significantly, before the mini-auction, a total of 163 players will be retained by all the franchises. At the same time, a total of 85 players will be released.

However, the IPL player registration closes on November 30, 2022, and the list includes 185 capped, 786 uncapped, and 20 players from associate nations. According to the BCCI, the players have been divided into various categories, including Capped Indians (19 players), Capped Internationals (166), Associates (20), Uncapped Indians who played in the previous IPL season (91), Uncapped Internationals (3). , Uncapped Indians (604 players), Uncapped Internationals (88 players).

Moreover, 277 overseas players are also from different countries, including Afghanistan (14), Australia (57), Bangladesh (6), England (31), Ireland (8), Namibia (5), Netherlands (7) , New Zealand (27), Scotland (2), South Africa (52), Sri Lanka (23), United Arab Emirates (6), West Indies (33) and Zimbabwe (6).

Last month, the franchises announced their list of retained and released players and Sunrisers had the biggest purse for the auction (Rs 42.25 crore). Followed by Punjab (Rs 32.20 crore), Lucknow (Rs 23.35 crore), Mumbai (Rs. 20.55 crore), Chennai (Rs 20.45 Crore), Delhi (Rs 19.45 Crore), Gujarat (Rs 19.25 Crore), Rajasthan Royals (Rs 13.2 Crore), RCB (Rs 8.75 Crore) and KKR (Rs 7.05 Crore).
