Rishabh Pant is all set to make a comeback in IPL 2024 after a long gap due to his accident in 2023. As per reports by Cricbuzz better, he will lead the Delhi Capitals team in the coming season of IPL.
The 26-year-old wicketkeeper batter is currently at National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and undergoing his rehabilitation process to get fully fit for the upcoming IPL season. As per the reports of Cricbuzz, he will only bat and field in the upcoming Indian Premier League season. He will only do wicket keeping after a clarification certificate from BCCI. Pant had sustained a knee injury along with injuries to back and ankle after the accident which kept him out of cricket for nearly one year now.
To keep a check on his workload, Pant can feature as an impact player in the IPL 2024 as well.

"If he is not keeping, he will definitely be on the field and will lead the side," a Delhi Captials official said to Cricbuzz. Due to his injury, pant has missed nearly four bi-lateral serieses, IPL 2023, Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2023. BCCI have already indicated that Pant will also miss the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan and the five-Test series against England in February and March.
