IPL 2024: Shreyas Iyer again becomes the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders

Shreyas Iyer, who could not play in the last edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injury, will now lead Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as a captain in the IPL 2024. KKR CEO Venky Mysore announced this on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Nitish Rana, who led the team in the last edition, has been appointed as the vice-captain for IPL 2024. Iyer has captained the league before also.

Before IPL 2024, all the teams are currently busy preparing for the auction to be held in Dubai on 19th December. The teams have almost prepared the list of players whom they have to target. It was expected that KKR would perform well under his captaincy in the next season i.e. 2023, but Shreyas Iyer got injured even before the IPL.
