After Ravichandran Ashwin, it's time for Ravindra Jadeja to get on the elite list. In the second test against Bangladesh, at Kanpur, he completed his 300th test wicket, entering the list of Indian players with 3000 runs and 300 wickets in test cricket.

Jadeja scalped his 300th wicket by taking Bangladesh's final wicket of Khaled Ahmed.

Earlier, the World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev and the spin wizard Ravichandran Ashwin had the records.

Not only that, Jadeja became the fastest Indian player to achieve the feat in test cricket. In World Cricket, it was Ian Botham who took 72 matches to achieve this feat. Thus, it takes Jadeja to become the second fastest in the world, taking 73 games, to touch the mark.
