Shreyas-led KKR has started their title journey quite well as they have already secured two wins in the first three games. Kolkata collected four points while they are currently in the 2nd position on the tournament points table. In the last game, when KKR was struggling to chase down a low score Russell came and helped KKR to go over the line against Punjab.

Russell hammered 70 runs off 31 balls including 2 fours and 8 mammoth sixes also took a wicket in the first innings. Umesh and Southee were done the blast in the first innings. However, Pat Cummins has joined the team two days ago and will be available for selection in this game.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians IPL 2022 journey hasn't started well as they faced defeat in their first two games. They are currently trailing at the bottom of the points table securing zero points. MI's star bowler Bumrah shines in the previous game while Mills also bowled well.

Although, the day was not good for Basil Thampi as Buttler punches him for 26 runs in 6 balls. Ishan again scored a half-century but MI can't resist the loss against Rajasthan. They will try to overcome KKR as their records are too well against this franchise. Mumbai has maintained a record lead of 21-6 in head to heads against KKR.
