How to watch the LSG vs CSK IPL 2024 Match?
The Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings IPL 2024 match will be televised on Star Sports Network. All the Indian Premier League matches will be streamed free on the Jio Cinema app and website.
Pitch & Weather Report
LSG weren't comfortable playing in their home last season. They just won three out of the seven games at home last year although they have won three of their four home games this season. It will be interesting to see what kind of track the team will get for this match. It will be difficult to score in the middle overs because the batters may face trouble scoring against the old ball. The average first innings score is 160 while the average second innings score is around 140 after 13 games played at this venue.
The temperatures will be around 30 degrees in the evening. There is no chance of rain and the humidity is expected to be close to 30 percent.

Lucknow Super Giants
Mayank Yadav started training on Wednesday but it remains unclear whether he will be given the clearance to play in the upcoming match against CSK. LSG are not in good form. They have lost two of their last games after winning three consecutive games. Kl Rahul would like to change that especially when he has found himself among some runs. Quinton de Kock's form has been the talking point and it should be. The left-handed South African hasn't delivered consistently this season.

Ayush Badoni and Marcus Stoinis are not consistent either and the middle order has been an issue for the Lucknow-based franchise for some time. Pooran is the only one who is contributing with some important knocks in every game. He is the top run-getter for LSG this season with 223 runs. Only Rahul is the other one to get past the 200-run mark for Lucknow so far this season. Deepak Hooda cannot be a solution and he proved that by himself. Krunal Pandya hasn't scored runs either as an all-rounder so there have been lots of issues in LSG's batting.

Shamar Joseph's debut didn't happen the way LSG management wanted. They stopped him for so long to finally make a break but it wasn't the correct situation and opposition to come up against. KKR are very strong this season and Phil Salt punished Shamar on his debut. Mohsin Khan bowled beautifully against the Knight Riders but they are missing their golden boy Mayank already.
Yash Thakur hasn't bowled well after scalping five wickets against Gujarat. Arshad is struggling too and Ravi Bishnoi needs someone in the middle overs from the other end who doesn't give away cheap runs. Krunal Pandya has done pretty well this season but he has been punished in the DC and KKR games. He will try to get his form back and deliver some good spells for his side.

Chennai Super Kings
Fast bowler Deepak Chahar had a niggle and missed the last match against MI. He is fit and available for selection. CSK tried something different in the last game as Rahane opened the inning with Rachin Ravindra but it didn't work as planned. Rachin hasn't looked amongst runs after the first two games. Rahane has been on and off so far but they are expected to go with the winning combination.
Skipper Ruturaj has impressed with his calm and composed batting and captaincy while Shivam Dube is scoring at a sensational strike rate in every match this season. He has been the most important player for CSK with the bat, scoring 242 runs already this season. The five-time champions will be hoping for the same from him on Friday as well. Daryl Mitchell hasn't done anything so far to justify his selection but there is plenty of time to make improvements as CSK have options on the bench.

Dhoni struck three consecutive sixes in the last game and it proved to be the difference. He isn't looking like a 42-year-old, especially with his keeping and batting. He will be there to play the finisher role and Jadeja will be accompanying him. Jadeja didn't have a great last game but he is an essential part of Chennai. Matheesa Pathirana is a gem of a bowler and he is proving it in every game. Tushar Deshpande has worked on himself which is visible and he is not leaking runs cheaply anymore. Shardul Thakur will help him lead the pace attack with Mustafizur also waiting to scalp wickets.
