Lucknow Super Giants
De Kock and Rahul's left-right opening combination has been inconsistent so far this season. The LSG skipper has not been at his best this time. He scored a half-century at a poor strike rate in the first match but failed to carry on the momentum in the rest of the matches. On the other hand, Quinton has played two good innings but needs to bring more consistency. Kyle Mayers is an option, waiting on the bench. Deepak Hooda has played just one match so far this season. Devdutt Padikkal's poor form is clearing the path for Hooda to be included in the starting XI. Padikkal has not scored a single double-digit score in four matches and LSG might replace him in the game against DC and give Hooda a chance to show his skills.

Nicholas Pooran is the most consistent batter for LSG and he has played some important knocks for his team so far this season. The West-Indian sensation can hit big shots in any situation and he is the only one who is doing so for LSG. Ayush Badoni is yet to showcase his potential but scored 20 runs which was crucial in LSG's victory in the last match. Marcus Stoinis started the season slowly but it is looking like he is back at his best. In the last match against GT, the all-rounder scored 58 runs, helping the team to put up a competitive total on the scoreboard. He is an important player for Lucknow and the franchise will rely upon him for his all-round abilities.
Krunal Pandya has played brilliant cricket for LSG so far this season. He has come up with some sensational spells and a match-winning knock already and will try his best to replicate some of those in the game against Delhi. Ravi Bishnoi is set to lead the spin attack and he will be assisted by Krunal in the middle overs. LSG’s pace attack consists of Yash Thakur, Naveen-ul-Haq, and Mayank Yadav. Thakur was the hero of LSG in their victory against GT, scalping the maiden fifer of the season. Mayank Yadav is the gem LSG have found this season and he has impressed everyone with his bowling. As of now, Naveen looks like the weak link in LSG's bowling lineup. He has picked up wickets but at the same time has leaked a ton of runs.
Delhi Capitals
DC have lots of problems in their squad. Kuldeep Yadav is injured and is likely to miss the rest of the tournament. Anrich Nortje is getting bullied in every single game he has bowled. He is leaking too many runs quite easily and the things can't just continue like that. David Warner and Prithvi Shaw are to open the innings for DC. The pair has been good so far. Prithvi Shaw wasn't the first choice for Delhi but Mitchell Marsh's poor form cleared the path for him and he hasn't disappointed the team yet.

Rishabh Pant has scored two half-centuries after making a huge comeback from an unfortunate incident. Tristan Stubbs is the biggest highlight for DC so far this season. He is playing brilliantly for the franchise and his strong hitting is a bonus. Abhishek Porel is a talented young player and DC should nurture him properly. He is a brilliant batsman and might play a crucial role this season.
Axar Patel is the best bowler DC have right now but as an all-rounder he must score runs too. He can hit big sixes but hasn't shown that capability this season which is a huge worrying sign. Axar knows how to make a strong comeback and the fans are expecting him to step up sooner.
DC have good bowling options but they haven't performed at their level and as a unit which has caused lots of problems. Nortje is the biggest example of that. His main role in the team is to bowl tightly in the death overs which he hasn't done. Khaleel is good with the new ball but he needs some assistance too. Ishant Sharma isn't the same bowler he once used to be. Mukesh Kumar is one name who delivered some superb spells in the last season but hasn't done the same this time around.
