Lucknow Super Giants

LSG are coming into the match after two straight victories. They lost the first match but made a strong comeback and clinched victories in the next two games. Quinton de Kock has scored two consecutive half-centuries and will try to continue his fine form while Kl Rahul will be hoping to find his form as he hasn't scored runs in the previous two matches after scoring a half-century in the opening fixture.

Padikkal and Badoni are getting opportunities but they haven't impressed the team and the fans. Both have failed to contribute anything with the bat and that is a huge worrying sign for the franchise. Marcus Stoinis also has to find his form as he hasn't clicked with the bat so far this season while he has bowled some really good spells. Pooran has been Lucknow's best batsman so far this season and he has been scoring runs constantly since the last season. The West Indian has already struck 146 runs in 3 matches and will be hoping to continue his fine form. LSG still have quite a few options left if they need them.

LSG have found a golden bowler named Mayank Yadav who is scalping wickets for fun at the moment. Mohsin Khan has also impressed to some extent while Ravi Bishnoi and Krunal Pandya are taking care of the spin unit. Naveen-ul-haq is inconsistent with his bowling and they have an option like Shamar Joseph in their squad. It will be interesting to watch when the West Indian will get an opportunity for the Lucknow-based franchise.

Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans won their first game against Mumbai, then lost the second game against Chennai, won the third match against SRH, and then lost the fourth game against PBKS. So, this has been quite a journey for them this season and they will be hoping to win this match and then continue on the winning path. Shubman Gill played a magnificent knock against PBKS and is scoring some runs here and there but Wriddhiman Saha hasn't looked sharp this season and has failed to play a huge inning for his side.

Kane Williamson replaced Miller in the last game and it was an ok performance, returning to the format after so long. Sai Sudharsan is scoring runs consistently for GT in every game while Tewatia finally looked in fine touch in the match against PBKS. Vijay Shankar hasn't been good this season and GT might replace him with someone else too.

It is quite evident that Omarzai can't lead the pace attack as he is conceding a lot in every game. He has to improve his bowling or otherwise GT will have to look somewhere else. Rashid Khan's poor form is another worrying sign for GT as he has leaked a lot of runs so far this season and hasn't got those wickets. Mohit Sharma and Noor Ahmad are bowling some good spells in every game while the others are bowling just for the sake of completing the overs.
