India captain Rohit Sharma broke Virat Kohli's record for the most 50+ scores in T20Is on Sunday during the third and final T20I against New Zealand in Kolkata. Sharma's 30th half-century in T20 internationals helped him go past compatriot Virat Kohli, who is rested from this series. India manages a whitewash against the blackcaps yesterday after winning the T20I series by 3-0.

Australian batting giant David Warner comes in the top 5 on the list of most 50+ scores in T20Is. Till now, Warner has smashed 22 half-centuries in his T20I career in 89 innings. Meanwhile, he has scored 2554 runs with an average of 32.74 including 22 half-centuries and one century. David has played with a brilliant Strike rate of 140.48 in those games. He has played with a strike rate of 136.72 and scored 22 half-centuries and 2 centuries in his T20I career so far. Moreover, Babar has scored 2515 runs with an average of 46.57 in T20Is. Babar has scored the most runs(303 runs) in the T20 World Cup 2021 edition.

Former Indian T20I skipper Virat Kohli has always been on the list. However, Rohit Sharma overtook King Kohli yesterday when he scored 56 runs against the blackcaps. Kohli has smashed 29 half-centuries in his T20I career with the highest score of 94 to his name. Virat has scored 3227 runs with an impressive average of 52.05 in his T20I career. He has played well against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2021, where he scored his 29th and final fifty.

India's newly appointed permanent T20I captain, Rohit Sharma has surpassed former skipper Virat Kohli and became the batsman with the most 50+ scores in T20Is. Rohit achieved the milestone in yesterday's match against New Zealand at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Sharma has now 30 half-centuries in his career including 4 centuries in his T20I career. Rohit has scored 3197 runs with an average of 32.96 and scored with a strike rate of 140 in those games. Moreover, he became the 3rd batsman to score 3000+ T20I runs after Kohli and Guptil.
