In ODIs, this was Smith’s 12th ton, while he recorded 28 centuries in Test cricket. He is now just one century away from Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who has 41 centuries in his cricketing career.
With his 27th Test hundred, Joe Root now overtook David Warner (42) in the list of scoring the most International hundreds. He is now in the second position with 43 hundred in his cricket career for Australia.
