The Ranji Trophy, India's premier domestic cricket tournament is organized annually by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This prestigious tournament serves as a significant platform for Indian players to exhibit their talent, with the ultimate goal of earning a spot in the national team based on their performances. The 2023-24 season was no exception which started on January 5. Here are the top five batters with most runs in Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season.

1. Agni Chopra (Mizoram) | 939 Runs
Mizoram batter Agni Chopra is leading the chart of Most Runs in Ranji Trophy 2023-24. Agni Chopra's stellar performance saw him amass an impressive tally of 939 runs across six matches at an average of 78.25 and a strike rate of 103.30. Having made a move from Mumbai to Mizoram, after playing age-group cricket in tinsel-town, Chopra has scripted history by becoming the first cricketer in Ranji Trophy history to score a century in each of his first four matches of his career in the tournament.
2. Ricky Bhui (Andhra) | 902 Runs
The 27-year-old, Ricky Bhui, who played two Under-19 World Cups in 2014 and 2016, notched up an impressive 902 runs in just 8 matches for Andhra Pradesh in this season at an average of 75.17 and a strike rate of 55.24. The right-handed batter from, who made his first-class debut in 2013, has amassed 1416 runs in 27 innings at an average of 56.64 in the last three Ranji seasons. Bhui has 17 first-class centuries and 15 fifties but is yet to get a double ton.
3. Sachin Baby (Kerala) | 830 Runs
Kerala's Sachin Baby's exceptional batting prowess shone through as he accumulated a remarkable total of 830 runs in only seven matches at an average of 83 and strike rate of 58.45. Havingthe third most runs in Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season behind Agni Chopra and Ricky Bhui, Baby has firmly established himself as the mainstay of Kerala's batting.
4. Cheteshwar Pujara (Saurashtra) | 829 Runs
Cheteshwar Pujara's masterful batting display saw him accumulate a commendable total of 829 runs across eight matches for Saurashtra at an average of 69.08 and SR of 54.65. Pujara is the only 4th Indian cricketer who has completed 20,000 runs in first-class matches, Tests and domestic red-ball games. He reached the milestone with his innings of 66 off 137 balls against hosts Vidarbha.
5. Narayan Jagadeesan (Tamil Nadu) | 816 Runs
Wicket-keeper batter Narayan Jagadeesan had a decent outing in the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy as he has highest individual score for Tamil Nadu in List A cricket. He amassed a total of 816 runs in nine matches at an average of 74.18 and SR of 63.75. The 28-year-old opener etched his name in the record book in First-Class cricket when he made a brilliant 321 against Chandigarh. Jagadeesan's feat helped him move past W.V. Raman's record for the highest individual score by a Tamil Nadu player in the format when the former India opener made 313 against Goa in 1988.
