The T20 World Cup 2022 has started on 16 October. This is the 8th season of this tournament. The T20 World Cup is the World Cup of the shortest format of cricket where the batsman wins the hearts of the fans by raining fours and sixes in a quick fashion. The tournament was first started in 2007 and till now it has been organized seven times. During these seven T20 World Cups, teams and players made many records. Universal boss Chris Gayle holds the record for hitting the most sixes in T20 World Cup. He has scored 965 runs in 31 innings of 33 matches, during which he has scored 63 sixes and 78 fours. Gayle is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen to have played T20 cricket, and by some as the best ever. He played a crucial role in the West Indies teams that won the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy, the 2012 ICC World Twenty20, and the 2016 ICC World T20. He started his T20 career in February 2006 against New Zealand.

The former Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh is on the second position in the list of the most Sixes in T20 World Cup. He has scored 593 runs in 28 innings of 31 matches. During this, 33 sixes and 38 fours have come off the bat of him. Yuvraj Singh is also known as the Sixer King. In the first T20 World Cup in 2007, Yuvraj hit 6 sixes in 6 balls off Stuard Broad while playing against England. Since then he is nicknamed the Sixer King. Yuvraj started his T20 career in the year of 2007.

India's captain Rohit Sharma, who is called the Sixer King of the present time, is the next batsman on this list. Rohit has scored 847 runs in 30 innings of 33 matches. He has hit 31 sixes and 80 fours in this tournament. He is among players who have been a part of every edition of the T20 World Cup, starting in 2007. Rohit Sharma, one of the best T20 batters, is the leading Indian run-scorer in the T20 World Cups so far. The opener averages a healthy 38.50 with the bat, with 79* being his highest score.

Australia's opener David Warner is at the fourth position on this list. Warner has scored 762 runs in 30 matches and has hit 31 sixes and 80 fours. He is one of the most dangerous batters going around and would be raring to make a mark on home soil. He was a part of Australia's six of the seven previous T20 World Cup campaigns. Warner played a crucial role in taking Australia to their maiden T20 World Cup title last year. He scored three half-centuries in seven matches, including one in the final against New Zealand. He thus was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.

In the case of hitting most sixes in T20 World Cup, Australia's legendary former opener Shan Watson shares the position with Rohit and Warner with 31 sixes. He has hit 31 sixes in 22 innings of 24 matches, he has also hit 41 fours. Shane Watson was a vital player who loved to bat as well as ball. In his T20 World Cup career from 2007 to 2016, he appeared in 24 matches for Australia where he scored 537 runs at the strike rate of 140.94 with 5 fifties. He made his T20 debut for Australia against South Africa at Johannesburg on February 24, 2006, since then he added 1462 runs from 56 T20 innings at a strike rate of 145.32.

6. AB de Villiers | 30 Sixes

South Africa's 360-degree batsman AB de Villiers has hit 30 sixes and 51 fours in 29 innings of 30 matches. During which he scored 717 runs at a captivating strike rate of 143.40. In spite of being a superstar player, de Villiers has not had the privilege to hold the T20 World Cup. Ab de Villiers is still the best batsman in the worlds when it comes to T20 cricket but shockingly he doesn't play T20Is anymore for South Africa.
