#1. Zaheer Khan | 71 wickets

Former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan tops the list of the most wickets for India in the ICC events. Zaheer scalps a total of 71 wickets in 44 matches. Moreover, he is also the 2nd highest wicket-taker as a pacer for India across formats with coming just after Kapil Dev. He has scalps 610 wickets across formats including 282 wickets in ODIs and 17 wickets in T20Is.

Zaheer Khan has bowled with an average of 29.44 in ODIs and 26.55 in T20Is. When it comes to the limited-overs format, Zaheer Khan is so much underrated in ICC events. As we know what he has done for India in the victory of the 2011 cricket world cup. He took 21 wickets in the tournament (most by an Indian bowler).

#2. Ravichandran Ashwin | 52 wickets

India's current off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is always known for his role in the longer format of the game. But, very few know what he has done for India in the limited-overs format especially in ICC events. He comes just after Zaheer Khan in this list of most wickets for India in ICC events. So far Ashwin took 52 wickets in 36 matches that he played for India in ICC events.

Meanwhile, in the recently conducted T20 World Cup he surprises another Indian spinner on the list Harbhajan Singh(50) to become the 2nd most successful bowler for India in ICC events. Ashwin scalps 624 wickets so far in his international cricket career. He bowls with an average of 32.91 in ODIs and 21.28 in T20Is. He may also surprise Zaheer Khan in this list if he plays the next 3-4 ICC events.

#3. Harbhajan Singh | 50 wickets

Another off-spinner has occupied his place in this list. Harbhajan Singh comes up after Ravi Ash in this list of most wickets for India in ICC events. Bhajji scalps a total of 50 wickets in 53 matches that he has played for India in the ICC events. Moreover, he has some brilliant records in his cricket career, especially in Tests and ODIs. He scalps 711 wickets in his career including 411 tests, 269 ODIs, and 25 T20I wickets.

The spinner has done well for India in the ICC events by taking wickets in crucial times. Bhajji has bowled with an average of 33.36 in ODIs and 25.32 in T20Is.

#4. Ravindra Jadeja | 48 wickets

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also contributed to his team in ICC events. Be it batting, bowling or fielding Jadeja has always been in the game. The left-arm orthodox spinner has taken 48 wickets in 42 games for India at the ICC events. Jaddu has scalps 466 wickets in his career including 188 wickets in ODIs and 46 wickets in T20Is.

Jadeja bowls with an average of 37.36 In ODIs and 27.24 in T20Is. Moreover, Jaddu has also scored 7204 ODI runs and 1253 T20i runs in his career so far.

#5. Javagal Srinath | 47 wickets

The 2nd Indian pacer, Javagal Srinath comes on this list after Zaheer Khan. The former Indian pacer took 47 wickets in 37 matches in ICC events and places himself at 5th in this list of most wickets for India in ICC events. Javagal Srinath has taken 551 wickets across formats including 236 Test wickets and 315 ODI wickets. He has been considered as one of the greatest bowlers of the ODI format. Srinath bowls with an average of 28.09 in ODIs.
