New Zealand posted 401/6 against Pakistan during the 35th group stage clash in the ODI World Cup 2023. It is the sixth-best total in World Cups and is also the highest total ever recorded in ODIs in Bengaluru. Not only that but it is also the Kiwis' highest total in the World Cup.

Their previous best total in a World Cup game was 393 against West Indies in Wellington in 2015. New Zealand finished with 401 on the board, only the second time of a team crossing the 400-run mark in the World Cup 2023.

South Africa has a record of scoring the biggest total in the World Cup when they scored 428 against Sri Lanka in Delhi in the ongoing edition. The previous best World Cup score at Chinnawamy was 367 by Australia against Pakistan.

23-year-old Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson set the stage to post a mammoth total like this. Devon Conway scored 35 in 39 deliveries and constructed a partnership of 68 witch Ravindra.

After Conway's fall, Ravindra and Kane Williamson built a partnership of 180 runs but Williamson missed out from his first century of the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 from just 5 runs. He scored 95 in just 79 deliveries filled with 10 fours and 2 sixes.

Rachin Ravindra went to score another century, his third in this World Cup. He is now in the second position interms of scoring the most runs in this WC edition just behind South Africa's Quinton de Kock. His inning of 108 in 94 deliveries came to an end when tried to go for his 2nd six of the match.

Mithell, Chapman, Phillips, and Santner played some crucial cameo innings to help the Kiwis post a huge total of 401. Pakistan's bowling was looking toothless in front of the New Zealand batting lineup and ended up leaking so many runs.
