Mitchell Santner made life difficult for the Dutch batsmen as he took a sensational five-wicket haul and became the first-ever Kiwi bowler to take a 5-fer for New Zealand in the World Cup. Matt Henry also bowled well and picked up three wickets.

The Black Caps faced the Netherlands at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad and registered a huge victory by a margin of 99 runs. Santner dismissed Max O'Dowd, Colin Ackermann, Scott Edwards, Roelof van der Merwe and Ryan Klein to complete his five-wicket haul in Hyderabad.
Batting first, New Zealand piled up a formidable total of 322/7 in 50 overs. Opener Devon Conway laid a solid foundation with 32 runs, while Will Young (70), Rachin Ravindra (51), Daryl Mitchell (48), and Tom Latham (53) gave their best to add runs to the scoreboard.
