Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi confirms that England can be a probable venue for the 2023 Asia Cup. Pakistan currently hold the hosting rights for this yearโ€™s Asia cup. In an recent interview with Sports Hour, the PCB Chairman made the announcement. Earlier India have refused to play in the country due to political reasons between two countries. BCCI has proposed for a neutral venue for the tournament and it was a discussion that Srilanka may host the tournament.

While thereโ€™s a tension of hosting the Asia Cup thereโ€™s another announcement made by the PCB chairman. He told that Pakistan will not travel to India to participate in the 2023 ODI World Cup. He also told that Pakistan would only participate in the World Cup if their matches will be held in a neutral venue. India and Pakistan played a bilateral series in 2012/13 season for the last time. Since then they havenโ€™t played a single bilateral series so far.

BCCI made it confirmed that India will pull out of Asia Cup if it is hosted in Pakistan. Also, thereโ€™s no way to conduct the tournament without the participation of Indian. Pakistan may loose the hosting right of the 2025 Champions Trophy. Itโ€™s also confirmed that India wonโ€™t be travelling there and PCB will have to figure out how to host the global event.

Keeping in mind the 50 Overs world cup will held just after the 2023 Asia Cup will be played in a 50-over format. The participation of Pakistan in the World Cup is in doubt as the PCB chairman made it clear that Pakistan may not participate in the 2023 World Cup if PCB loses the hosting rights of the Asia Cup. Pakistan last time participated in the 2016 T20 World Cup in India.
