Pakistan Super League 2022 witnessed a scandal on Monday when the Lahore Qalandars pacer Haris Rauf slapped his teammate Kamran Ghulam while celebrating his wicket. Lahore Qalandars were playing against Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2022.
Rauf did this terrible thing after dismissing Peshawar Zalmi's Mohammad Haris and then hit Ghulam during the celebrations. Rauf took the wicket in the second over of the innings. Previously, Ghulam failed to take the catch in the same over itself and this made Rauf frustrated. Kamran ran out Wahab Riaz with a direct hit during the end of the opposition's innings. After the wicket, Rauf walked up to Kamran and affectionately gave him a hug, and tapped him on his head.
Ghulam does not seem bothered by the turn of events and also his teammates did not react to it. The players may have solved the issue between themselves but the sudden incident left social media in absolute shock and the video of slapping went viral. Many fans even claimed that the alleged cricketer should be punished. At the end of the match of PSL 2022, the match referee Ali Naqvi gave Rauf a warning and let him go.
