The England leggie star Adil Rashid comes in as a replacement for Jhye Richardson at Punjab Kings. Famous for his loopy leggies, he'll look to make the most out of it at the big grounds in UAE. According to ESPNcricinfo, Rashid will join the Kings on September 8. A regular candidate in the white-ball format for the English side; will be available for the whole chunk of the second phase of the IPL 2021.

Punjab Kings will land in Dubai on August 29 and undergo the mandatory six-day hotel quarantine before starting their training. Although Adil Rashid is one of the best leg spinners in the world, this will be his first stint in the IPL. He had a base price of INR 1.5 crore but went unsold in the auction earlier this year.

He has picked up 65 wickets in 62 T20Is at an average of 24.29. In the series against Pakistan in July, Rashid picked up six wickets in two T20Is at a cost of 65 runs in his eight overs. Although the Kings have promising leg spinners like Ravi Bishnoi and Murugan Ashwin in the bag, Rashid will be the most experienced of the lot.
