They chased down 378 in the second innings to go past the previous record of 372 set by Saurashtra. Pratham Singh scored an unbeaten 169 from 300 balls to help them manage a five-wicket win against Tripura.
Railways captain Upendra Yadav won the toss and decided to bowl first on a wicket that looked helpful for the bowlers at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Stadium. Despite a solid 71 from Sridam Paul, they were able to bowl out Tripura for 149 in the first inning. Yuvraj Singh took 4 wickets while Himanshu Sangwan and Akash Pandey took 3 and 2 wickets each.
However, Tripura made a huge comeback in the match by bundleing Railways for 105 in the first inning, achieving a lead of 44. Arindam Ghosh remained on 62 from 108 balls in that 105 for Railways. Manisankar Murasingh took 28/5 for Tripura.

With history against their back, Railways started the second inning on a bad note losing Suraj Ahuja, Yuvraj Singh and Sahab Yuvraj Singh early. But, from 31/3, Mohammed Saif and Pratham Singh started building a partnership that gave them hope.
Their 175-run partnership for the fourth wicket took them close to the history. Though Saif departed after a stunning 106 from 126 balls, Pratham continued his inning and reached his hundred as well. They finished the Day 3 on 270/4 and needed 108 to win on the last day.
Arnidam Ghosh, just like the first inning played a solid inning of 40 from 126 balls to help Pratham take the game away from Tripura. At the end, with the help of Upendra Yadav's unbeaten 27, and Pratham's 300-ball unbeaten 169, Railways chased the total down with five wickets in hands to create history.
Pratham Singh was adjudged the player of the match for his 169 in the second inning.
