Sarfaraz Khan finally received his much-deserved start for the Indian team when The Mumbai batter was given his cap by former legendary Indian Cricketer Anil Kumble and shared a heartwarming moment with his family. Sarfaraz had to wait for several years for this moment and when he finally got his chance, The 26-year-old played a valuable inning of 62 runs.

A video of a 'left-handed' Sarfaraz Khan's innings on his debut in Rajkot has now gone viral with fans seeing a lot of similarities between the Indian batter and Rishabh Pant.

With his family and fans in attendance, the Mumbai batter took some time but then went on to hit the half-century in just 48 deliveries. The right-handed batter came into bat when Rohit Sharma lost his wicket after scoring a sensational century and adding 204 runs with Jadeja for the fourth wicket.

Sarfaraz scored his fifty off just 48 balls, the joint-fastest half-century by an Indian debutant in Tests, sharing the stage with Hardik Pandya. He was looking like a set batsman since his arrival on the pitch and was set to score a hundred on his debut before he was unfortunately run out due to a terrible mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja.

Sarfaraz's inning contained 9 boundaries and a six. A fan on X decided to post the video of Sarfaraz's knock but made him a left-handed batter to show the netizens about the similarities between Sarfaraz and Rishabh Pant. The fans were quick to see that the shots played by Sarfaraz seemed to be the one played by Pant, while he used to bat in the middle.

The fans are now excited to see them both on the pitch at the same time playing for the Indian Cricket Team and if Sarfaraz manages to carry on his start, then he will just have to wait for Pant's arrival. The left-handed batter is still on the path of recovery and is expected to play in the upcoming edition of the IPL, where he will lead the Delhi Capitals.
