In the last quarter-final match of the Senior Women's ODI Trophy being played on Monday, Bengal registered a historical win against Haryana at the Niranjan Shah Stadium Ground C in Rajkot. 

After getting snubbed from the India squad, Shafali Verma smashed a 197. However, eventually, Bengal bagged a 5-wicket win against Haryana.

Fastest century in Women's ODI Trophy

Shafali Verma has participated in the Bengal vs Haryana match, who has been out of Team India for some time. However, Shafali batted brilliantly against Bengal and was out close to scoring a double-century. She played a tremendous inning of 197 runs off 115 balls and presented her claim for a comeback in front of the selectors. 

Shefali Verma came to the opening against Bengal and hit 33 boundaries at a strike rate of 171.30. She smashed 11 sixes and 22 fours in her innings. This is Shafali Verma's best List A score and she also became the player to score the fastest century in the Women's ODI Trophy.

Shafali Verma is in amazing form in the ODI Trophy. She is the highest run-scorer in this tournament. Shafali has scored 527 runs with the help of 22 sixes and her strike rate is also more than 150 in this tournament.

Shafali's inning took Haryana to 389

Shafali took her team to 389 runs in 50 overs. She was also involved in a partnership of 173 runs for the opening wicket off 23.2 overs with Reema Sisodia, who made 58 off 72 with eight fours. It eventually was Mita Paul who accounted for her wicket. Later, Triveni Vasistha and Sonia Mendhiya made 46 and 61 respectively to take Haryana closer to the 400-run mark.

Bengal's historical win

Bengal chased down the total by five wickets with five balls to spare. This is the highest successful run-chase in Women's List-A cricket. Tanushree Sarkar (113) scored a fine ton, while the fifties from Dhara Gujjar (69), Sasthi Mondal (52), and Priyanka (88) starred in the chase for Bengal. 

This is also the highest aggregate of runs scored in a single Women's List-A fixture, going past 678 runs between England and South Africa in the 2017 World Cup. 779 runs were scored in this game, making it the first instance of a women's List-A game aggregating over 700 runs.
