Shubman Gill is looking unstoppable right now. In the Qualifier 2, Gill scored his third century of the IPL 2023 in the match between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians on Friday.He needed just 49 balls to reach the mark. His ton included 4 fours and 8 sixes. Before this the 23-year-old star batter had hit tons against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. After this hundred, Gill climbed to third position in the list of players to hit most centuries in an IPL season. Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler smashed four centuries in the season to top the list.

IPL 2023: Shubman Gill slams his third century
Gill also became the seventh batter to score a century in IPL playoffs. However, he is the youngest batter, aged 23 years and 260 days to score a hundred in Playoffs. The star batter also became the joint topper in the elite list of players to score fastest century in Playoffs in the history of the tournament.
Gill is now the second Indian batter to score 800 or more runs in a single season after Kohli’s tally of 973 runs in 2016. Overall, he stands third in the list with Buttler (863 runs in 2016) standing second. The 100-run mark also helped Gill to climb to the top of the Orange Cap list. He only required nine runs to get past RCB skipper Faf du Plessis, who scored 730 runs in the season.
Shubman Gill scored 129 runs in just 60 deliveries with 10 sixes and 7 boundaries. Akash Madhwal dismissed him but Gill completed his job without any doubt. Gujarat Titans posted a massive total of 233 runs after the end of 20 overs.
