Australian opener and wicket-keeper Alyssa Healy had a superb 2022 with the bat and glove. Her majestic performance in the Women’s World Cup saw her winning the player of the tournament award. Moreover, she was also the player of the match in the final as well. Hence, the Female Cricketer of the Year for the Sportz Point Awards 2022 simply goes to Alyssa Healy .

Alyssa Healy registered the highest individual score in a world cup final in both men’s and women’s tournaments. Healy single-handedly dominated the English side in the final smashing 170 runs off 138 deliveries.

Healy registered the most runs(509 runs) in a single edition of a women’s world cup. She also scripted the highest partnership(160 runs) in the final of any WC. The second-highest partnership of 156 runs also occurred in the same edition between Healy and Mooney. The wicket-keeper batter was also named the player of the tournament of the 2022 edition.

The 32-year-old averaged 56.55 with the bat while also contributing eight dismissals as a keeper. With her performance, the Aussies lift up the trophy for the latest edition of the tournament earlier this year. That is why she is considered the Female Cricketer of the Year by Sportz Point.
