SRH vs GT gets washed out: Who qualified? Who got eliminated? IPL 2024 playoffs equations

Another match in Indian Premier League 2024 got washed out as Sunriseres Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans shared a point each in Hyderabad. With this one point, SRH qualified for the playoffs while Delhi Capitals got eliminated from the tournament.

Here are the IPL 2024 playoff situations after the SRH vs GT match

1. SRH qualified for the playoffs

Sunrisers Hyderabad qualified for the IPL 2024 with 15 points in 7 games and a net run rate of 0.406. With 7 wins, 5 defeats and 1 washed-out game, the Pat Cummins-led team are currently at number three in the points table.

2. Delhi Capitals also eliminated from IPL 2024

Even after three good wins in the last five games, Rishabh Pant's Delhi Capitals are now officially eliminated from the IPL 2024 race. In 14 matches, they managed to earn 14 points with 7 wins and 7 defeats. After, SRH's entry to the top four, Delhi are now out from IPL 2024.

3. RCB vs CSK is now a knockout match for RCB

RCB will now have to win their last match against CSK to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. Not only that, they will have to win by 18 runs or chase within 18.1 overs (assuming a first innings score of 200). If that match goes washed out as well, RCB will be eliminated from the tournament. 

4. Chance for RR to finish second 

Rajasthan Royals now can finish in second place if they can beat table topper Kolkata Knight Riders in their final game of the league stage. With 18 points in 14 games, they will secure their place at the number two position. 

5. Chance for SRH to finish second 

Sunrisers Hyderabad can finish at number two in the points table if they can beat Punjab Kings in their last game and hope KKR beat Rajasthan Royals afterwards. Both the games are on Sunday and SRH will play in the afternoon while KKR will face RR in the evening.

6. Chance for CSK to finish second as well

Meantime, Chennai Super Kings also can finish second if they can beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and hope that RR and SRH will lose their respective games against KKR and PBKS respectively.
