Jason Behrendorff shocked the Sunrisers Hyderabad early in their chase of 193 by taking the wickets of Harry Brook and Rahul Tripathi. Aiden Markram and Mayank Agarwal then seemed set to get the chase back on track but the SRH captain ended up falling to Cameron Green. SRH kept losing wickets on a regular basis but Klaasen shifted the momentum a little bit by scoring 36 runs in just 16 deliveries. Mayank Agarwal struggled all the way to 48 in 41 balls. Marco Jansen and Abdul Samad kept MI on their ground. The five-time champions got past the finishing line with Arjun Tendulkar bowling the last over and taking his first IPL wicket. Rohit Sharma & Ishan Kishan gave an explosive start to Mumbai Indians

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss & decided to bowl first. Rohit Sharma & Ishan Kishan started the proceedings for Mumbai Indians. They had a brilliant start. Rohit Sharma looked confident right from the start and he completed 6000 IPL runs. Rohit took 227 innings to reach the mark. Eventually, Natarajan picked up his wicket after scoring 28 runs in 18 deliveries. Rohit now has 6014 IPL runs to his name with one century and 41 half-centuries.

Rohit's wicket slowed Mumbai's inning. Ishan Kishan slowly tried to construct his inning after the fall of their skipper but lost his inning without being able to boost his inning. Marco Jansen dismissed him for 38 runs. It looked like Suryakumar Yadav would now pick up his form after the previous match but once again failed to contribute too much and got dismissed for only 7 runs. Marco Jansen picked up his second wicket by dismissing Suryakumar.

Cameron Green & Tilak Varma led Mumbai Indians to a brilliant total of 192

Tilak Varma & Cameron Green built a 56 runs partnership in 28 deliveries. Tilak Varma fell for 37 runs in just 17 deliveries with 2 fours & 4 sixes. Cameron Green completed his half-centuries in just 33 deliveries after smashing three consecutive boundaries. He remained not out till the end with 64 runs in 40 deliveries. Tim David scored 16 runs in 11 deliveries and eventually got out by run out. Mumbai Indians put up 192 runs after the end of 20 overs.

SRH vs MI: IPL 2023 Match Report

SRH had a lackluster start by throwing away wickets on regular intervals

The centurion Harry Brook got dismissed in the second over. Sunrisers Hyderabad had a hot & cold start. Mumbai Indians bowlers gave the perfect start they wanted. Rahul Tripathi also lost his wicket for a small score of 7 and both the wickets were taken by Jason Behrendorff.

After scoring 22, Markram also got dismissed, and this time it was Cameron Green who picked up the crucial wicket. Abhishek Sharma once again failed to convince the home fans as he got removed from the crease for only 1. Piyush Chawla did the job for Mumbai Indians.

Heinrich Klaasen & Mayank Agarwal countered but MI got the better of Hyderabad at last

Heinrich Klaasen then played a blistering inning of 36 in just 16 deliveries and it completely changed the match. Mayank Agarwal was supporting him with singles and doubles and tried to not throw away his wickets just like the others. After a 55 runs stand, Piyush Chawla struck again and it was a huge wicket of the dangerous man, Klaasen. Riley Meredith sent Mayank Agarwal home after a fighting inning of 48 runs.

Arjun Tendulkar, who made a debut for Mumbai in the last game, bowled really well this time once again. It's giving a positive vibe to Mumbai Indians. He bowled the last over to defend 20 runs and he brilliantly did so. He gave only 18 runs in his 2.5-over spell and picked up a wicket as Sunriser Hyderabad lost their all wickets for 178 runs.
