After the completion of group stage matches, the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022-23 will shift its focus now to the knockouts, which will begin on Sunday, October 30, in Kolkata. A total of 11 teams – Mumbai, Karnataka, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Bengal, Saurashtra, Kerala, Vidarbha, Punjab, Haryana, and Chhattisgarh – have made it to the knockouts.

Domestic heavyweights Mumbai and Karnataka, along with Himachal, Bengal, and Punjab, finished first in their respective groups. While Vidarbha, Delhi, Haryana, Saurashtra, Kerala, and Chhattisgarh advanced due to a better points tally than the other second-placed teams in their five groups.
Punjab, Haryana, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, and Haryana will feature in the pre-quarterfinals on Sunday and the winners will then advance to the quarterfinals, which will take place on Tuesday.
Delhi, Karnataka, Mumbai, Himachal, and Bengal secured a direct place in the last eight matches. All these games will take place in Kolkata, and the venue for the semifinals and final will be announced later.
