Openers of Failed XI of IPL 2022: Rohit Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad

The Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma is surely having a disappointing season after in Ipl 2022 as neither his batting nor his captaincy skills are bringing results. After remaining winless for consecutive 8 matches, the 5-times champion team finally claimed their first win of the season last night against Rajasthan Royals. Focusing on individual performances, the skipper amassed only 155 runs in 9 matches with a disappointing average of 17.22 and a strike rate of 123.01.

Ruturaj Gaikwad's performance this year is completely opposite to that of the last year. He somehow managed to hit on half-century so far in the tournament. In 8 matches playing for CSK, he scored 138 runs with an average of 17.25 and a strike rate of 117.94.

Middle Order of Failed XI of IPL 2022: Kane Williamson, Jonny Bairstow, Kieron Pollard, Riyan Parag, Ravindra Jadeja

The Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson failed to execute his best performance yet in this season. In previous years, he scored massive runs for his team and even won the Orange Cap once in IPL 2018. But this year he only managed to hit a half-century. Kane aggregated 148 runs in 8 matches with an average of 21.14 and a strike rate of 93.08.

The struggle of Jonny Bairstow is quite visible in the ongoing tournament. His highest score this year is 32 till today. His batting skills ar surely not helping him anyhow this year. Bairstow made only 79 runs with an average of 13.17 and a strike rate of 112.85.

Mumbai Indians is surely having a very hard time this year as most of the players are not at their best form and are not meeting the expected high standards. One such cricketer is Kieron Pollard. The retained player failed to execute results for the team most of the times. Till now, he amassed only 125 runs with an average of 15.63 and a strike rate of 120.19.

With an average of 17.83 and a strike rate of 152.85, Riyan Parag is included on this list because of his average performance so far this season. The RR batter made only 107 runs so ar in this edition of the tournament. Well, RR surely expects better performances from this youngster.

CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja had to struggle a lot in handling captaincy dor the first time, fielding, batting, bowling, and what not. He is certainly nowhere towards the performance that is expected from him. Jadeja failed to execute good performances as a captain and hence decided to give up captaincy of CSK. In 8 matches played so fa,r CSK is sitting at the 9th position and Jadeja has 112 runs and 5 wickets to his name.

Based on the performances in IPL 2022 so far, Pat Cummins has resulted to be one of the most expensive bowlers. Pat bowled in 4 matches so far and picked up 4 wickets. Meanwhile, he also considered 190 runs in only 15.5 overs with an economy of 12. His performance is not at all expected from a cricketer of his caliber.

Another costly bowler on this Playing XI is Shardul Thakur. Delhi capitals bought him for Rs 10.25 crore but he is no where closer to the performance of such an extreme price. So far he playded in 8 matches but scalped only 4 wickets with an economy of 9.72.

The next not-so-impressive bowler so far this year is Akash Deep of RCB. He played 5 matches so far and scalped 5 wickets with an economy of 10.88.

The mystery of retaining the mystery spinner of Kolkata Knight Riders is still unknown. He played in 8 matches till now and somehow managed to pick only 4 wickets. Meanwhile, he also conceded massive 247 runs in 28 overs with a disappointing economy of 8.82.
