ICC's interests on USA:

The growth of ICC's interest in the USA has valid reasons for it. For a good amount of time, the global cricket community is targeting the American market. And probably one of the biggest reasons is that Los Angeles is hosting the 2028 Olympics and this relationship with the USA might lead to ICC's ambition of participating in the Olympics.

We can get to know the final decision over the next week. Lots of in-person meetings will e taking place in the headquarters of the ICC, Dubai. It will start with the Chief Executive Committee (CEC) meeting on November 11 Thursday, and then with the Board meeting on November 16.

ICC may end up making a decision for the hosts of the next tournaments during these meetings. The decision is already behind schedule as the ICC wants to go to the market with its media rights package in December. ICC sources also confirmed that a sub-committee under the leadership of Martin Sneddon is already working on a competitive hosting process for the last few months. The committee also includes BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, CWI chief Ricky Skerritt. Ehsan Mani, the former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman was also a part of this committee.
