India will face USA on Wednesday, June 12 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Both teams are in Group A and will play their third game of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. Skipper Rohit Sharma led the Indian Cricket team to a thrilling 6-run victory over Pakistan.

The USA, on the other hand, registered a historic victory against Pakistan and they are right behind India in the points table with 2 victories in as many games. Both sides need just one victory to qualify for the next round and India are the clear favourites. The USA are playing brilliant cricket but the pitch in New York has been challenging for every team. The group stage match between USA and India will be televised on Star Sports Network. All the T20 World Cup 2024 matches will be streamed on the Disney+ Hotstar application. The OTT platform has confirmed users can watch all the T20 World Cup matches for free on its mobile application. However, viewers need to buy a subscription to watch it on other screens like a Smart TV or laptop.

Pitch & Weather Report

The pitch at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York has proved to be a heaven for the pacers. Cloudy weather is expected during the game which will help pacers with movement. The Pacers have taken most of the total wickets at this venue. The pitch will continue to support the bowlers in the middle and death overs, and making big scores would be very tough. The pitch hasn’t improved for the batters. The four drop-in pitches at the venue were laid in April under the supervision of Adelaide Oval groundsman Damian Hough.

The temperature of New York on Wednesday will be 24.4° Celcius during the day. There are also expected to be clouds which will assist the seamers.

USA

The USA are most likely to play with the same XI. Monank Patel has led his team from the front. Aaron Jones and Andries Gous are in brilliant form and lots of credit behind USA's success in the last two games should go to them. Steven Taylor needs to work on himself and make a comeback. Nitish Kumar and Corey Anderson's role will be very crucial too for the USA.

Nosthush Kenjige scalped three wickets in the last game. He will lead the bowling unit. Saurabh Netravalkar's 4-over spell was also very crucial. He picked up two wickets against Pakistan and he would like to replicate the same against India too. Ali Khan and Harmeet Singh will be also on Wednesday so it will be not easy for India to secure a victory. 

India

India won their first two games and are all set to face the USA in New York. Rohit Sharma will lead the side and he scored a half-century against Ireland. He also got off to a brilliant start against Pakistan but threw away his wicket cheaply. Virat Kohli has scored only 5 runs so he must step up in this game. 

Suryakumar Yadav has also failed in the last two games. He played some brilliant innings but was inconsistent in the IPL for Mumbai. It is high time that Suryakumar works on himself and takes some responsibility. Rishabh Pant scored a half-century in the practice match and played a mature unbeaten 36-run inning in the game against Ireland.

He also scored 42 runs against Pakistan and he is in great form. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel bowled very well in the last two games and they are set to feature on Wednesday. Jadeja hasn't lived up to the expectations. He hasn't delivered a good performance so far so he needs to make a comeback and it could be the game.

Chahal and Kuldeep didn't get the opportunity in the game against Ireland. Kuldeep had a superb IPL campaign with the bowl while Chahal failed to maintain his economy but took plenty of wickets. It seems like India are trying to play with one extra batter. Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah have been sensational so far. Bumrah scalped three wickets in the match against Pakistan. Siraj couldn't get a wicket but didn't concede runs either. Arshdeep needs to improve his economy. He bowled the last over against Pakistan and it was brilliant.
